On the occasion of Women’s Day, a program was organized by YWCA of Simla which included sessions on Financial Management and Health & Skin Care and movie screenings.
The General Secretary of YWCA of Simla welcomed everyone and highlighted the importance of Women’s Day Celebration and stressed upon the need for gender equality in all spheres of lives. A short documentary movie was screened on this occasion followed by an interactive discussion.
Interactive session on Financial Management & Planning was led by Mr. Avinash Sharma. He spoke about various women entrepreneurship schemes run by the Government. He also shared that the Government has taken many other decisions and initiatives to help and support the women entrepreneurs.
He covered a variety of topics, including budgeting, e-banking, credit/debt, and the importance of financial management plans.
A session on Health & Skin Care was led by Mrs. Renu Sara. She spoke on how skin is one of the largest organs of the body and because of this, caring for our skin can directly affect our overall health. She discussed various steps that can be taken to ensure good health and healthy skin.
Free face masks stitched by the students of YWCA Tailoring class were also distributed to all present.
On this occasion, Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty, President of the YWCA of Simla also congratulated everyone present and stressed on working in solidarity towards making this world equitable and peaceful.
